Hi. I just tried to decorate my new house with some pillars. But hen I place them they look like normal slapstrips. Does anyone know what the problem here is?

Hi. I did read about all those subbloocks you can create with redpower saws that you can use them to prevent your redstone from connecting with other circuits. I thaugth it would be great i you could use those blocks to prevent pipes from connecting to machines or other pipes. But it seems like they are incompatible since a pipe recognizes the covers as whole blocks which prevents pipes from being placed Does anyone have any ideas about this or can this be fixed?

Hi Everyone. I am a little supprised. Everyone here recommends you should have java 64 bit installed if you have a 64 bit system. But as I noticed the other day - the launcher starts tekkit only in 32 bit mode. I already found som tutorials on how to run minecraft in 64 bit mode by adding some command lines to the standard launcher but they wont work with the tekkit launcher. The guy but says the boost of performance is huge. So how to i tell the technic launcher to start tekkit in 64 bit?

Trolling aside - i guess what he means is if he has to create a new map. I i wonder about the same thing since I already have build quite some farms on my server as well...

Hi. As far as I know Tekkit comes with a "build in" version of optifine. I experience some laggspikes and I heared many times that optifine can help with this. they recommend the multicore version for the newer multicore cpus. So can someone tell me which version it is and if necessary how i can replace it?

Hi everyone. My old rig just dropped dead about a week ago after 4 years of good service. Today I got my new notebook - I5 with 2.5 to 3 ghz 6 gb ddr3 ram. this think is quite a lot faster than my old rigg but for some reasons minecraft runs on like 5 fps. I dont know whats wrong. My old rigg got some stable 60fps out of this game. First i thaught it might be because Minecraft only uses one core - but ontifine comes with the tekkit launcher so it should use all of them right? Also I thaught that maybe its only using the onboard GPU which comes with the I5 processor - i also have a gt540m from nvidia. But even if it does - a friend of mine is playing bad company 2 at medium details with this onboard GPU and he has no laggs at all so it should be enough for minecraft. I also installed 64 bit java. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be? Help would me much appreciated..

Hi everyone. I am so fascinated by this mod, i told a few friends of mine about it. Sadly one of them has an issue with the tekkit launcher for some reason it does not work. I dont know why I told him to update java, run it as admin, reinstall it and look for troubleshooting on the board here. But no good so far. Oddly enough his standard minecraft runs nice. Since I played on another server with IC2 and co. before without the Tekkit launcher I figured there has to be a way to manually install tekkit into the vanilla folder an run it using the standard launcher. Of cause this is not nearly as convenient as using the tekkit launcher, but its worth a try. So does anyone know which files from the .techniclauncher folder we have to copy to the .minecraft folder and where to place them?

Another question on this one. I just noticed while I am able to craft rabars on the rolling machine the actual stone tie cant be crafted on it. Luckily i tried it on the work bench and it worked there. Is this supposed to work like this?!

What? Wiki y u no mention such important things ?!?! Well thanks guys....

Not being able to craft the rebar is the reason why the first recipe wont work for me. When I allign the iron ignots nothing happens. When I look it up on NEI it shows me the first receipe containing the rebar. But when I klick on the rebar NEI shows no receipe strangely enough.... The wiki states that the first recipe only works if the factory module is installed. I have no idea if this is contained in Tekkit. But if not I have no idea why the second recipe is also not working...

Hi everyone. Dont know if its a bug or not. I am running the latest Tekkit version on my Server. Today I tried to build som speed boost rails but I failed since I was unable to craft a stone tie : http://railcraft.wikispaces.com/Ties+%28Part%29 Tried both recipes but both did not work. I checked the official topic on the minecraft forum and the recipes seem to be up to date with the latest version. Any Ideas ? :(
