actually I found the fix to that problem: instead of using the link that dropbox gives you to share, go to where it says download, right click, and "copy link address." the direct link will be in your clipboard.

I have done my reasarch and I even got the mod files to download. But after 5 versions and much "ugh, what this time." I have a version that works fine when I install it manually but when I do the links and everything, I get a GREYSCREEN! I made sure all the mods are for the right version of minecraft, maybe not latest for that minecraft version, but ... It works when I do it. Why you no work! Fyi: I made my own modpack and I made sure it's all according to the instructions. The modpack.jar is actually a modpack.jar, the mods are in the right folders, and I even put in a config folder. Not only is it loading as vannilla, but I found a cool looking modpack named solaris and added it according to instructions and it is vannilla too. I tried playing as creative and there is nothing new. Help!
