*Bumping this thread as I've uninstalled/reinstalled Java, tried builds 218-221, and still nothing.* I also completely wiped my technic folder as well, also with no results. And I've heard the talk around the net saying that the JRE error goes away if you downgrade to Java 6, but some of the mods I need to run to play on my usual server REQUIRE Java 7, so I need an ACTUAL answer to the core of the problem. Edit: Another suggestion I saw others make was to use the .jar file directly. Still nothing.

Same problem here with the 1.1.2.0 launcher. OS: Windows XP Java: Latest AV: AVG EDIT: Hrm, here's an odd point - the bar at the top says version 1.1.2.0, but "properties" says 1.0.1.0 2nd Edit: Also, this only applies to when I try to update packs by clearing cache. My previously established packs work just fine.

^ I've been getting the same problem. I can run the game in Launcher version 1.1.2.0, though, so I don't think my Java is busted.
