I usually take up raw resources and sell them to players in return for not only money but a good reputation. When I feel a server is a good investment of my time, I'll begin to build up, and join a town or make one of my own. I like to unite any other hermits in the community after awhile.

IGN: OBBIMAULER Age:18 Location: Kentucky, USA Are you more the 'build and create' or 'hunt and explore' type of player? Both really, I like to do a little bit of both. I really like to support group efforts, but I love to explore the world, too. I only kill when necessary. Other things you'd like to add: I'm a bit of a hermit at first while I begin a server. I forage the area and tend to stockpile a lot of resources. Then I sell these off to people and begin building my rapport into a server. If I come on the TS server I won't speak at first, I usually just try to see what type of people I'm playing with. I warm up easily, however. I am a very aggressive PvPer, however. If I'm playing on a team, I will lead raiding parties and kill ruthlessly. I also tend to build my towns in a very isolated location, such as an island, so hint hint. I play this game very, very strategically.

Well it makes sense that updates can be pushed out faster, true. But Thanks! I didn't think of putting classfiles in the modpack archive before. And I would still put any other resources or mod components where I normally would, then?

Microsoft Security Essentials is pretty good for Windows-based OSes. PandaCloud is also quite good, though not together, since their def files will have a war. I use Linux for work, which doesn't require any automated virus software .

You're going to have to clarify that post. If you mean the older installer, than sort of. The one I used back in January was a JAR file that had mods from both what are now Tekkit and Technic in one package, that were put into your main minecraft folder. It was much simpler that way.

I've always been a big fan of technic, but this new launcher confounds me... Why can't I just import all of the mod files directly into the original ".minecraft" folder instead, instead of using the launcher and having two minecrafts? Although using the launcher is somewhat fine, I'd like to be able t import more mods into my Tekkit folder, such as single player commands. It successfully installs, but Tekkit doesn't recognize it. Is there anything I'm doing wrong, or are there mods in Tekkit that conflict with SPC? On top of this, is there any way that I could find the old Technic launcher that DOES drop all of the modfiles into the original Minecraft folder? If this is possible my life would be much easier.
