  1. Hmm. I've used phased pipes extensively in Tekkit Lite and never had a crash or bug - I just had to make sure to keep the chunk loaded. They helped with moving far-away oil, powering a Quarry in another Age, and bringing back resources from said age. I don't have to worry about privacy since I play alone, so I guess the only substantial benefit of Tesseracts would be improved efficiency in moving from A to B in a timely manner.
  2. I've been looking into these two things for some time now and I'm not quite sure I see the difference. Can anyone explain to me? They seem to have the same function - moving things via teleportation - yet the pipes seem MUCH less expensive to build. Even with eight diamonds, it's easier than the several machines and pearls you'd need to make just one tesseract. Then again, the tesseracts seem to be able to handle more flow than a pipe... What's the difference? Maybe I'm just being clueless and missing the obvious here, or something.
  3. Sweet, thanks. I've not gotten to looking at much of what TE has to offer, but I'll definitely be doing so now that I returned with a backpack full of ore.
  4. Question - with IC2 gone, is there any way to macerate ores other than the Grind box that AE provides? It's easy to get, aye, but I'd much prefer a more automatic method if there is one (which would obviously be harder to acquire).
  5. I read that it wasn't - something about Optifine not allowing anyone to use it in modpacks. I'm only going off of what I read elsewhere though...
  6. I just hope some guides will be made soon. I'm relatively new to Technic in general - only started using Tekkit Lite a few weeks ago - and I freely admit that I relied on IC2 a lolt. Now that it's gone, I'm at a bit of a loss of what to do in starting a new world. I'm no genius, and figuring things out for myself only gets me so far. Even with a guide to follow, I had to restart one of my worlds after screwing up my first base (In Tekkit Lite, that is). So yeah. I'm willing to learn and use the new pack, although I hope it won't be all on my own. There's a LOT to absorb, especially for a non Technic-vet.
