You could be right, I've had some issues with this pack in the past. I'll try to be more specific next time, sorry.

Nevermind, I played a different map and came back and now the lag is gone mysteriously. And YES this IS technic, there is a modpack on technicpack.net called "Technic SSP" that adds technic 1.2.5 to the launcher. But thanks anyway :)

I am playing Technic 1.2.5, the modpack that was removed in the new launcher. I put this here because it's not a bug report and it's not tekkit, it's technic, two different modpacks. I have tried turning all my settings to fast or off to boost performance and FPS, but it isn't doing anything. P.S: I have also had this happen in other modpacks sometimes.

Hello I've been playing technic for a while, and built a huge castle with 3 large towers, each with EE condensers and one has a large Blaze rod macerating factory. Several days ago everything worked fine, no lag at all, about 35-40 FPS until today, I got massive lag spikes, 1-2 FPS, and it's basically unplayable. My system specs are: Windows 8 Java 64bit 8.00 Gigs of RAM And the launcher has allocated 5 Gigs and PermGen Size is on. Please help, I have no idea what's causing it, there have been no changes to my computer, I just went to play Technic and it gave me lag. Also I can go a short ways away from my castle and the lag stops, so maybe something in the castle is causing it?
