  1. Here it is: they have changed their plans... but they still have great prices: http://craftyourbox.com/minecraft-servers/ I checked. They use one of the fastest processors available. The processor is the most important part of the server's speed. Also, if your server is running slow, they will allocate more processor power and RAM to your server for up to a max of 1 hour.
  2. Here are some sites that offer the same amount of ram or more for the same or a cheaper price. I was unable to find the $10 a month for 3GB plan I found when searching for my own server (I just decided to use another pc). Please note; 2000MB = 2GB. http://mcprohosting.com/plans.php http://redstonehost.com/clientarea/cart.php?gid=1 https://minecraftserverhost.net/secure/cart.php. Any higher than 2000MB is even better than 2GB.
  3. 2GB dedicated RAM should be fine. My server was running on 2GB before I switched to 4GB and only had problems with worldedit (an amazing plugin). Also, $30 a month is way overpriced. A cheaper solution would be to buy a new pc, and just run the server on your own pc.
  4. Instead of removing whole modpacks, get a bukkit plugin called Tekkit Customizer. It will allow you remove specific items from the game without remove whole modpacks. For griefing I would reccomend removing nukes, red morning stars, destruction catalysts, nova catalysts, and nova catalysms. For lagging remove dimensional anchors and automatic crafting tables mk2. Energy condensers/collecters can give players infinitely many items if that is a problem. Nuclear reactors can have destructive meltdowns if that worries you. Forcefields can be a cheap protection system if you plan to allow sharing of houses. Also, some choose to ban swiftwolf's rending gale as it allows players to fly. If your server is going slow, remove the computercraft modpack. It can cause lag problems on low end servers. Railcraft can also cause lag problems on low end servers.
  5. It looks like some mods are incompatible with Minecraft 1.2.5, which you are using, and therefore FML (Forge Mod Loader) will not load your mods. Go back and check to make sure that all mods you are using are built for Minecraft 1.2.5. Also, all mods from Tekkit are for 1.5 while all mods for Tekkit Classic are for 1.2.5. You really can't combine those two packs.
  6. I recently created my own modpack, and have had a similar problem. On all other modpacks I have tried, the modpack downloads and works perfectly. However, on my modpack, whichever mod is last on my list of mods stops downloading on 1%. At first I thought it was a problem with SimpleBackround but when I rearranged the list it happened with RedPower 2, IndustrialCraft 2, and any other mod that was last on the list.
  7. That means your computer only has 1 gig. A computer with 4 gigs has a max of 4 gigs, 3 gigs a max of 3 gigs... See if you can put more gigs of RAM in your computer. If you raise the amount of RAM to at least 2 gigs you will be able to allot 2 gigs to technic launcher.
