I read the wiki and it seems big dig has more to offer than tekkit. Tekkit with more stuff. Is this true? What's the main differences between them? Thanks

When I try to use any modpack, or even vanilla, the launcher is stuck on a white screen before the mojang logo appears. Any solution? I'm on OS X Lion Thanks P.S: Sorry if this was already solved in other threads, but I didn't find any. EDIT: Solved now. Followed the instruction on this link: It works, took some time to load everything, but works
