Has no one fixed the ForgeModLoader yet? My server wont start without it.

Hello, I installed my server and no matter which version i install , when i select the matching client, I can connect. My problem is that beyond vanilla minecraft i can not build anything. not even gears. Any one have any ideas why the mods are not loading?
