Sir SpawnAlot

Hello! So i recently started my own server that works fine and all that but i have a problem when it comes to changing my map... Im running a 3.1.2 server and it loaded up fine, but when I tried to move over my single player map to my server it just kept doing the first world that the server created... Ive gone in to server.properties and made sure that the levelname=the name of the map, but it keeps loading the server made map. I did this on a non-modded mc server a couple of months ago and that all worked fine, but can anyone tell me what to do here? me and my friends would love to play but we cant bother to start from the beginningxP
