"Cannot connect to minecraft.net" unless the login is wrong

Launcher Version: 253 Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit Java Version: 1.7.0_15 Antivirus Program: AVG Description of Problem: When the login is correct, the launcher says it "cannot connect to minecraft.net" yet, when the login is incorrect, it says it is "Unable to authenticate account with minecraft.net."
