I can't find a folder called MODS in the technic/hexxit folder, only COREMODS. Do I create a MODS folder and place them inside or maybe use the COREMODS folder?

Hi, I have no knowledge with mods and I need help from you guys. I want to add some extra mods to hexxit but I have no idea how to do it. Is there any tutorial on how to do it in MAC? Thanks in advance
