I have found the laser drill and the laser drill prechargers, has anyone used them yet and are they good?

how do you supply the engines with Lava? Is it through the waterproof pipes and a pump?

I tried the electrical engine from forestry and the redstone engine. I connected the redstone engine directly to the quarry and tried turning it on using a switch but it wouldn't work, I may try with the Redstone Energy Cell then. Thank you ^.^

I am having an issue powering my quarry in the new big dig update, due to IC2 being removed it doesn't seem to want to except power from anywhere else. Can someone suggest a way to fix this or an alternative power source for the quarry that isn't one of the engines? If not can someone suggest an alternative for the actual quarry itself?
