I am COMPLETELY mind blown, I don't even know what to do..I am so confused right now. I will try to explain everything as clearly as I can at the moment. So I am using a couple of plugins, one of them is essentials. I went over to their live chat and asked why the plugin doesn't work. I have posted my log from my server and they told me that I am apparantly running the vanilla server..which, as far as I am concerned, they are talking about the minecraft? So that is my first question why are they telling me I am using the vanilla server when everything is set up on the Tekkit server? Then, someone posted a link to craftbukkit. Now, as far as I'm concerned, Bukkit is different to Tekkit right? I want to use Tekkit not Bukkit. Moreover, to add to my confusion I asked if the plugin worked on Tekkit and they said "Yes, it does". Either I don't understand something or those people literally don't know what they are talking about with all do respect. Why would I want to download Bukkit when it works on Tekkit...now, I went off the chat with more questions than I entered with.

One more thing! I launched my server today and it said something in the lines of "updating server to 1.5.1 ...so I guess the server updates automatically? Just thought I throw it out here for anyone wondering. EDIT: Nope, it doesn't lol

Thank you so much, now I understand. I want to bump my server to at least 1.5.1 + my tekkit looks like it is on 1.5.1 so it helps. Thanks!

Hello, I have a question which is bothering me for a while now which I can't seem to find an answer to.. (Excuse me if this is in the wrong sub-forum) I have recently created a server and I am only using the recommended build which is 1.0.6 if I am not mistaken. Over the period of 2 weeks I have seen that there's once again, a new tekkit version (1.1.7). I keep seeing other people hosting servers on the new-ish builds but I can't figure out how these people updated their servers..the techniic website only has the 1.0.6 server version because I have downloaded it again and it pops up with that. If I do select "Always use latest builds" the server doesn't work (for obvious reasons). Please, please, please could somebody help me out? I will be ever so grateful.
