Easy Solution. 1. Start TechnicLauncher.jar 2. Top Right Corner (Launcher Options) 3. Activate "Increase PermGen Size" 4. Launch the Game 5. Enjoy ;)

Same problem here. The 1.0.6 version works fine but the server is 1.1.8 so "we definitely need a new little update to fix that"... :*(
