Possible Fix Open the .technic folder (Located C:Documents and Settings<USERNAME>AppDataRoaming.technic or %Appdata%.technic) and delete the file Temp.exe. Then retry the TechnicLauncher and should work.

Getting the same error message with TechnicLauncher.exe version 2.0.0.253, also noticed that within a previously empty folder "%appdata%.technic" two files have now appeared. Temp.exe which is 2,082KB and when expanding the .exe, the file has a similar file structure to TechnicLauncher.exe and has the same file icon.
