  1. Launcher Version: 300 Operating System: Window 7 64bit Java Version: Version 7 update 45 Antivirus Program: None Description of Problem: The launcher opens and everything works fine until I try to open a mod pack. Ive been trying to open Infamy Modern Warfare, Voltz, and Tekkit. With all these the bar above the, Get More Mods, button starts at 0 then just goes away. I have the console open and it all looks fine until I attempt to open a mod pack. This is what I get-- Error Messages: java.util.zip.ZipException: error in opening zip file at java.util.zip.ZipFile.open(Native Method) at java.util.zip.ZipFile.<init>(Unknown Source) at java.util.zip.ZipFile.<init>(Unknown Source) at java.util.zip.ZipFile.<init>(Unknown Source) at net.technicpack.launchercore.util.ZipUtils.unzipFile(ZipUtils.java:134) at net.technicpack.launchercore.util.ZipUtils.unzipFile(ZipUtils.java:114) at net.technicpack.launchercore.install.ModpackInstaller.installOldForgeLib(ModpackInstaller.java:107) at net.technicpack.launchercore.install.ModpackInstaller.installOldForgeLibs(ModpackInstaller.java:96) at net.technicpack.launchercore.install.ModpackInstaller.installPack(ModpackInstaller.java:62) at org.spoutcraft.launcher.InstallThread.run(InstallThread.java:54) Error Log:
  2. Ive been having the same issue!
  3. Launcher Version: 297 Operating System: Windows 7 64bit Java Version: Java Version 7 Update 46 (build 1.7.0_45-b18) Antivirus Program: None Description of Problem: Ive downloaded the most recent versions of Java and the Technic launcher, but when I attempt to open the launcher, nothing happens. At first I thought it was the Java, so I uninstalled Java (I uninstalled Java JDK and JRE). After reinstalling the most up to date java, the launcher still wasn't working. So I opened Task Manager, stopped all tasks that weren't essential. Then I attempted to open the launcher again, and on Task Manager under "processes" the launcher would start running then stop a few moments later. The "Java Platform SE Binary" would start then stop. There is no crash report, just 2 folders in the .technic folder called "Logs" and a JSON file called "settings". Inside the "Logs" folder there is this- 2013/10/26 01:33:19 [iNFO] Args: [] 2013/10/26 01:34:31 [iNFO] Args: [] 2013/10/26 01:36:48 [iNFO] Args: [] 2013/10/26 01:36:55 [iNFO] Args: [] 2013/10/26 01:46:18 [iNFO] Args: [] 2013/10/26 01:47:01 [iNFO] Args: [] 2013/10/26 01:47:09 [iNFO] Args: [] 2013/10/26 01:47:17 [iNFO] Args: [] 2013/10/26 01:47:30 [iNFO] Args: [] Error Messages: None Error Log: 2013/10/26 01:33:19 [iNFO] Args: [] 2013/10/26 01:34:31 [iNFO] Args: [] 2013/10/26 01:36:48 [iNFO] Args: [] 2013/10/26 01:36:55 [iNFO] Args: [] 2013/10/26 01:46:18 [iNFO] Args: [] 2013/10/26 01:47:01 [iNFO] Args: [] 2013/10/26 01:47:09 [iNFO] Args: [] 2013/10/26 01:47:17 [iNFO] Args: [] 2013/10/26 01:47:30 [iNFO] Args: []
  4. Ive been having the same problem. I did have a little break through, i went into %appdata%, then to roaming, then I deleted the .technic folder. After that I started the launcher, I got a message asking where I wanted to install the launcher. I selected the normal place (Roaming/.technic) I clicked ok, and nothing happened. So i guess that a success.
