I have this problem too. Windows 8.1 64-bit. ZoneAlarm Java version 1.7.0_45 - 64-bit. I'm actually in a fresh reinstall of my system and just updated to 8.1. Never had this problem on Windows 7. My normal Minecraft logs in and runs fine.
