hey literaly 5 minutes after reading this post (because i had the same problem) i tried messing with settings and this is what you do. 1: in the top right corner of the launcher click on the little gear(settings) 2: you'll see something under "always use beta launcher builds" that says Memory 3: change it to 512MB ( i am guessing yours isn't, mine was on 1GB and it worked after changing it so do this ) 4: PLAY Ps- post another reply so i know if this fixes it for you too ;D

Launcher Version: latest version as of november 20th (i can't access my launcher) Operating System: Windows Xp Java Version: Java 7 Update 45 Antivirus Program: None Description of Problem: Whenever i click on a modpack, lets say tekkit lite, it loads then just before it starts up it says (Error: cannot create java virtual platform Error:Will now close program) and i can't even play vanilla in the technic launcher. yet i can play minecraft vanilla outside of the technic launcher!
