  1. Anyone find a fix yet? I tried through both the normal IP and hamachi, no dice :(
  2. Yes I believe it's the water that's backing up because i got 3 teleport pipes steeaming water to 10 combustion engines, i got the same setup elsewhere and it runs fine however that set-up has tank in which the water can build up and restore before getting sent out again. Thanks for the help I believe i've fixed it.
  3. I'm pretty sure that it's not normal behavior, redstone engines should never overheat but the fact that these 3 are is very puzzling, the only thing it could really be is that perhaps the chunk isn't loading properly, other than that I can't quite figure it out
  4. Thanks for thinking i know jack-all about BC. Unfortunately you're whole post is not only irrelevant but insultingly-so. I've never had a problem with any other pump, any other redstone engine and I'm quite aware of the function of combustion engines. Thus you're missing the point. The problem is that these 3 particular redstone engines on these 3 pumps go red and "stop", making the combustion engines go critical (perhaps stating the obvious is what confused you) I've never seen the redstone engine behave this way before hence why i'm reporting it. When you have something constructive to add feel free to give it another try.
  5. Title: Strangge redstone engine overheating Version: 3.0.3/3.0.4 OS: Windows 7 64x Java Version: Java 7u5 Description of Problem: One of the 4 redstone engines I use to pump water and cool combustion engines always overheats. Can't quite figure out why, I have an arrangement of 3 of these pumps and the same engine each pump always overheats, making the combustion engines go critical very fast. Error Messages: Error Log:
  6. True, I thought about that after but at a current exchange it's brutal, I suppose the more combustion engines you use the faster you'll get your return, otherwise to get exact amount yeah I'd have to do it by buckets instead of piping it all.
  7. Alright so I tested it and it turns out the very existence of an oil fabricator is useless production-wise. The device itself eats up 250eu/t the single refinery receives 72eu/t although you can hook up more refineries and it'll still consume together the same amount of energy while not sacrificing productivity (correct me if I'm wrong). The combustion engine only seems to provide roughly 40-60 eu/t per combustion engine with a grand totaly of 322eu/t being spent on it.
  8. Alright so, I'm sure this may have come up before but I figured a simple question might grant me a simple answer so here it goes. I was wondering if it would be worth it to use tekkit's oil fabricator to generate additional energy. The way I see it, I'd have the Oil Fab, connected to a refinery (also being power by EU via energy link) and have that fuel created by the refinery fuel combustion engines and have that energy being produced being placed back into a MFSU, would it be advantageous to waste time and resources building this or would I be shooting myself in the foot here. Again if someone has made something similar to this, please let me know.
  9. Alright so I have a bit of a problem involving the buildcraft pump and i'm using tekkit 3.0.3 for Minecraft 1.2.5. Alright so over the past couple days i've been trying to construct a system of combustion engines to power my other machines, the problem is that the combustion engines are not getting cooled properly (already blew the top of my building sky high). I noticed that the buildcraft pump either stops pumping water completely or trickles in very slowly before stopping again (happens between 30 seconds to a minute). The configuaration is connected to infinite water source 5x5x1 square pool of water connected to 4 redstone engines pumping through 1 gold waterproof before entering a waterproof teleport pipe which again yesterday was working perfectly fine until today when i noticed the issue. The oil and fuel are all being pumped efficiently I should also add. Now I've also noticed a similar issue with my cobblestone generators one day it works fine the next the lava and water no longer connect in a timely manner, however that's a problem for another day. The only other issue could possibly be pointed towards my server which dedicated running windows vista 64x with 3gb of RAM. Haven't had any lag related problems in the past, everything runs smooth just having a major problem with liquids. If anyone has any idea of what might be causing this or how to fix, feel free to add your two cents to the mix. Thank You. Figured out the problem turns out it's very much the same problem that's messing with my cobble generators, liquids aren't updating fast enough... Is there anything that can be done to force liquid updates?
  10. I'm getting this problem as well, made two different styles of cobble-stone generators, one that had lots of liquids flowing and one generator with 4 water, 1 lava and It's the same result, sometimes takes a couple minutes for the liquids to respond
  11. Title: Server Can't Keep Up? Version: 3.0.3/3.0.4 OS: Vista 64x Java Version: Java 7 Update 5 Description of Problem: Alright so just recently we've encountered a huge (and by huge I mean beyond unplayable HUGE) lag spike in a certain chunk of our server. There's nothing built, dug out or anything within the entire chunk but the server just one day decided to start lagging. Because of this particular chunk everything else within the server such as engines, blocks, doors, machines, etc all operate very slowly. The server has more than enough RAM, previously I thought this was the issue because I was running on 32-bit Vista (Yes I know vista sucks horribly) that could only use 1gb of RAM. So I upgraded to 64-bit Vista so I could allocate a full 3gb of memory. This had literally had no affect so I'm fairly certain it's not a RAM problem. Again any help would be extremely appreciated, I seem to be the only one with this particular brand of problem involving the "Can't Keep Up" run-of-the-mill issue. So any help would be greatly appreciated! 12. That's incredibly strange, well looks like I gotta invest in a new OS
  13. No argument there, well if it's because it's 32x then I guess that's the problem, thanks
  14. Alright so recently my server has run into a bit of a problem. Whether through building up or exploiting the world, my server has all of the sudden gotten extremely laggy. Now I'm almost certain it's a RAM issue so I was wondering if there is any way that I can allocate more than 1gb of memory for my server. The dedicated machine that I run it off of has 3gb but the server wouldnt start if I tried putting in 3 so I had to use 1. I know it may be a very simple problem but Windows Vista 32x seems to only allow me to use that amount. Back when I ran the server on my Windows 7 machine I was able to allocate as much as I wanted so again I'm at a bit of a loss for this. Tried looking around but to no avail. Thanks in advance.
  15. Disregard. I seemed to have fixed the problem by restarting the machine :S strange
