He was never really cared for much as a child, but with as many brothers and sisters as he had it was understood. When he turned 14 a pirate ship ran aground on his island. as they were repairing the damages he watched them and listened to their tales of adventure. He begged the pirate captain to take him. The captain laughed at first, but with enough heart he convinced the captain to let him join as a cabin boy. He sailed the seas with them for many years until one day they were running from a fleet of Helios ships and was lost in a gale storm. Odin_Silliaks washed up on a shore near Mideel and began his journey to find his home now realizing that what he wanted was not adventure, but the tranquility of his home and its beautiful golden shores.
