Perhaps I did something wrong, but I tried putting it in the mods folder instead of the .jar and nothing happened. The game started without any problems or error reports, but optifine wasn't active. Like I said it might be my fault as I'm absolutely clueless about modpack and yeah... And surprisingly one of my friends has the same hexxit version and installed the exact same optifine version without any problems. Could I simply use his modpack.jar instead of mine or would that just cause more errors?

I opened the hexxit file, opened the bin file, opened the modpack.jar with WinRar and dragged every file of OptiFine_1.5.2_HD_U_D5 into it. I tried everything but nothing worked. Also, I tried to use other optifine versions but none of them worked, it always crashed, no matter if I delete the meta inf or not. I really hope someone can help me.
