I have somewhat of an extensive Roleplaying experience, although I am probably rusty , i have RPed at The Vault (Second launch to third), I started a Roleplay server Fallout: War Never Changes, Created another Fallout server named Fallout Wild Wasteland. Drama ensued, and the server re-launched as Fallout Aftermath. I've had two full years of administering rp, and rping as well. (Together, i RPed and Monitered) I haven't RPed for a while honestly, and believe that this server is a place to re-jumpstart my love for RPing. When you think of roleplaying, what comes to mind? Getting into the shoes, persay, of a character that might share no characteristics with yourself. Playing a Character as that person, doing what they would do in any given circumstances. Making friends/enemies based on your character's mindset. How did you hear about Gaia Life RPPVP? Well I have been with Aegis for a while, I haven't RPed in a while, and believed that this could be a good place to restart. Have you read the basic Gaia Life lore, and hereby swear to abide by it? I hereby swear that i will abide by the lore. Races include the Humans, Transhumans,Cyborgs,Mutants (De-cogs seem to not have anything said about them?),Silvians, Undead, and Weavers. Have you the rules governing this server, and understand them? Yes, i have read the rules. They prohibit the basic no-noes of RP servers such as no Meta-gaming, Power-gaming (God Modding), no land-scarring, keep in ICC when in local, and Global. To verify that you read the links in this application form's intro, please give a brief summary of what they discuss. The first link (or atleast thats how i clicked it) is about what is Power-Gaming (God Modding), basically forcing RP And in the case of specific god-modding "giving powers to the character that are not remotely realistic" The Second Article is about Meta-gaming, which is a personal pet-peeve of mine, which in a nut-shell is using information that is from OOC in ICC, having irr-rational relationships because you are friends in OOC, etc. In-Character Information Please make sure your character name is something you can live with in-game. Character Name: Franz Otto Xaver "Fox" Character Age: Twenty Four Character Race: Transhuman Character Biography and Description: "Fox" as he was referred to quite jokingly, if not mockingly over his Initials, is a Transhuman, but he wasn't always this way of course. Born to a rather poor family, his "family" consisted of the typical sob story. His father walked out very early in his life, he doesn't remember exactly when, his mother never really elaborated upon this, and said it like it was a standard statement. Well this was when she wasn't drunk, and or on some substance. As a young child he wandered the street like most children do, especially the less fortunate ones. Times when his mother couldn't keep a job, whether that be a job of an exotic taste, or a low-paid low skill job, were the most dangerous. People that haven't had a hit in too long of a time do crazy things, this is exactly what happened to Franz... Shady men went through the poorer districts offering money for participation in "medical" studies, just enough to get that next hit. In a extremely withdrawn state his mother gave him up to these men in black suits for just enough money to get a hit or two. Out of all the memories that Franz can still remember sharply this is one. He never really came back from this, being betrayed at a young age by your own family does terrible things to a child, and is one of the things contributing to his multipersonality disorder. The men who took him for "Medical Studies" were experimenting on several young children like Franz. They experimented implementing Animal DNA for a numerous of reasons, some reasons were to make them faster, stronger, or smarter. Obviously the program was great in theory, but these experiments putting Fox DNA (In Franz's case) or Eagle DNA into a Human doesn't really guarantee even the slightest improvement over a regular human. The results although in the areas targeted increased ( Minutely), it wasn't enough to consider more funding. The "Scientific" firm that conducted these tests over those long years, went under from this loss of funding, and in an effort to save money released the subjects or sold them away depending on the results. Franz's results were not useful for any specific buyer, coupled with his personality disorder, so they just dumped him out into the world. Franz managed to live off of random jobs when ever he could get work, living on the streets. Living on the fringes of civilization, and just trying to survive however he could. Due to the splicing, and tampering with his DNA he has some improvements in hearing, but at the cost of being quite sensitive to high-pitched sounds. He also has to move every once and a while, because of his random outbursts personality disorder, coupled with him being a Transhuman of all things. Description: Light Brown/Black Hair Green/Hazel Eyes Below Average Height due to malnutrition as a child Light Build Suffers from trust issues, and multiple personality disorder due to DNA splicing, and experimental medicines. "Franz" Personality: This is the personality that received the training, and conditioning, but was broken (the main reason that he was just released) resulting in the two personalities. Refers to himself in 3rd person frequently, and is quite crazy. "F.o.x" Personality: Cunning, driven, survival oriented, somewhat pessimistic. Main personality of the two, reverts to the Franz type personality randomly, and without warning. Is this your first attempt with our application? If not, please list other attempts. Yes, this technically my first application. I've almost filled one of these out a while ago, but decided at the time I couldn't allocate the time to the server that it needed. So I didn't complete it. Meta Questions In this section, your character will be placed into a set of hypothetical situations. Please consider your answers carefully. You stumble upon a group of three soldiers harrassing a middle-aged man, apparently about some missing bronze machine parts from a local repair shop. The man is insistent upon his innocence, but the soldiers do not relent. What do you do? I leave him alone, sympathise somewhat for the the man, but hey he could be guilty. It isn't my problem to deal with, they will more than likely leave the man alone soon anyways. Franz toys with helping the man and the soldiers resolve the conflict, but it isn't his problem to deal with. He doesn't feel like getting a "ticket" for impeding justice or worse getting accused of stealing things as well. As you are walking down the street, you glance down an alleyway and notice some shady-looking characters moving crates. Upon closer inspection, you realise that the crates are marked "ordinance", and that it seems that they're being moved into a school. What do you do? I would envision confronting them, saving the day, but they are probably those terrorists you hear about that outright murder tons of people. They are probably just black market dealers, not a reason to risk my life for. People die all the time. I would keep on moving, and pretend that i saw nothing. Possibly put a hint to the local authority, but i'd rather just distance myself You have been evicted from your home, and attract the sneers of those you pass on the street. Even your own family has shunned you, and your best of friends now refuse to acknowledge your existence; what have you done to earn this fate? I haven't done anything, I exist. Transhumans are abominations in the eyes of some people, and you can only hold back a secret for so long. Especially when the secret is physically evident, such as Franz's. Franz is accustomed to this kind of treatment anyways, but it doesn't make it hurt less. You're approached by a street thug, clearly much stronger than you are. He demands everything valuable that you're carrying. What do you do? Franz "ok, ok here, its everything I have take it" Street Thug *snatches Franz's money* with disdain he looks at the extremely small money in the wallet. "Bull**** I you have mo' mony than this, evry thng or i'll slit your prty throut!" Franz *Takes off shoes, shows that they are empty along with the rest of his pockets* "I gave you everything i have, just pleas---" Street Thug snarls "yeh, yeah get lost before i change my mind!" Two plumbers walk into a bar and promptly start a fight. What do you do? I would stick to the walls away from the fight, and get away from it as fast as possible. No reason risking prison for public disruption. I value my life, and personal welfare, fights are a good way to get killed, or be disabled. I try to avoid conflict when i can. Finally...
