I've posted this elsewhere, but it seems like a lot of people are having this issue. If your save disappears after a crash, create a new world with exactly the same name as the lost save. It should load right up to where it crashed. You can copy seed over too, but I haven't bothered and it seems to work fine. This has worked for me five or six times now. Hope this helps some of you.

This happened to me five or six times now. Just create a new world with the exact same name as your previous save, and it'll load your save right where you crashed.
