Its alright some how I made it work by deleting my Java and reinstalling it and now it lets me play the modpacks

Every time I download a new mod pack I click play it will start loading and after its done loading the game won't start or anything but it will just go back to the launcher. Why is it doing this i've tried everything such as deleting all the files and re-downloading the launcher nearly 6 times already and turned off my computer. Please help I really want to play and I'm on a mac btw.
