i thinking about making a server but i want to make sure people can get on it with out the technic launcher. can they get on my server with out the launcher?

i can work every thing fine but when i try to open tekkit it sits there for a minute or two then says Update Failed! please help! I don't know if this will help but i have a windows 7 64 bit operating system
