    Indeed I did, but the sticky forwarded me to the homepage, I clicked that link for this download and it didn't work. No worries, problem solved.

    Here's my solution http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp scroll down to offline 64-bit, download and install, worked for me.

    I've tried everything the sticky suggested, I assumed that was a given.
