reinstalled java still doesn't work

im re-installing java do i chose source code or development tools?

alright so i just downloaded java 7 and the same problem to go into more detail what happens it i click on technic it comes up saying "do you want to allow this to make changes on your computer" or whatever so i click yes and then it shows up with checking launcer version for like 1 second then just goes away

you were right @jay I downloaded it from the java website which doesn't have java 7 (dafuq?) i'll tell you if it works soon edit: It didnt work i will try to post a video explaining this could you try to post a link to a java 7 download thanks for the help so far

I just downloaded it so i think it would be 7 how would I check that, I'm not very good at this kind of stuff
