  1. I updated the java (I also got windows 10 not that I think that affects anything) and I had to update the technic launcher. I guess I had an old one. The game launched and all the mods loaded. However the auto sieve and auto hammer still don't exist. Also I have the config option set so new chunks are empty from ex nihilo but there is still bedrock in the nether. However I would imagine that has to do with the mod itself, not with the modpack. Unless there is a mod that forces the bedrock to generate. Thanks for the help with my initial problems. If anybody has a fix for the auto sieve and hammer let me know.
  2. http://pastebin.com/MPCu2TZa Also I have been playing it in the regular vanilla launcher and I can't get the auto sieve. I made sure it is enabled in the config options but the item doesn't exist in game. Same for Auto Hammer.
  3. Okay, I did that, but now the pack won't load at all. I click play, a bunch of text runs through the console so I know something is happening, but then it never brings up the minecraft window. Nothing changes. I have tried clicking the play button a few times and it still doesn't change. I remember this also happened when I was creating a modpack my previous time I mentioned.
  4. I built a simple skyblock modpack. I played it with forge through the vanilla launcher and it worked just fine, however when I downloaded it to the technic launcher it loaded the vanilla game, but not the mods. I checked the .technic mods folder and all of my mods appear to be properly installed, however when I click play, the game loads and there is no forge information in the bottom left corner, and there is no mods button on the home screen. I was playing around with making a simple modpack a few years ago and I seem to remember having the same problem. The vanilla game loaded but the mods wouldn't, even though they were installed in the correct folder. Pack Name: Supetorus 1.0.0 URL: http://api.technicpack.net/modpack/supetorus-100
  5. I think that would be something I would like to do. I am busy tomorrow (Saturday) but I might be able to do it Sunday if you want, or we could wait until the weekdays sometime. Is there a way to swap information on this website so that it isn't public? Like a private message system?
  6. How did u know it was 32 bit? was that in the pastebin? either way, I thought I had gotten 64 but maybe not. Tell me about teamviewer. Is it something where you can just see my screen or is it one that allows you to remotely interact with my computer? I would probably trust you either way but I would like to know if you have any computer credentials that might help me trust you a little more.
  7. It must just be my computer because it didn't work. I looked through it before I ran it and noticed the differences. Your version has neiaddons, and there are more config files. When I ran the pack in barebones I never got more than one or two config files. Other than that they seemed pretty similar. For some reason it still didn't work though. It just went back to the launcher. I found this inside the logs folder. http://pastebin.com/xxQJFsiQ I just had an idea as to what it might be. Maybe I have an outdated launcher. I use a cracked launcher so there's a good possibility of that. It is really weird that this doesn't work because shortly after I got on this forum I created a pack that just had the 1.6.4 version of computercraft, and it worked except it didn't have sound (which google research tells me was a common problem in 1.6.4) I don't know why that would have worked but this doesn't
  8. Do you think you could just put the modpack together for me and make it work, then share it in dropbox or something. If you make it work on your computer then I can't, we know it's just my computer. The mods I want are NEI, Computercraft, and Tinker's construct.
  9. In that link I included a few posts ago I just uploaded the entire barebones folder. The reports are in there.
  10. Okay, so I have the right versions of the mods and I started with a fresh bbp so why didn't it work?
  11. If I use optifine does it just go in the mods folder like everything else?
  12. I reset barebones and just put CodeChickenCore and NEI in it and attempted to run it but it didn't work. I tried putting forge in but it didn't work either. Is it supposed to run when I use barebones or just return to the launcher? Here is where I got the Chicken stuff ChickenBones Mods - Minecraft Mods - Mapping and Modding - Minecraft Forum - Minecraft Forum (I clicked downloads, then the latest universal) and this is where I got forge Minecraft Forge Downloads (I clicked 1.7.10 recommended installer) Since it isn't working in the barebonespack I decided it would just put it in dropbox and not go through the process of making it a modpack on the technic site. Here it is. Now you can also see the logs which might be more helpful. Some of the folders that were empty were removed when I zipped it. https://www.dropbox.com/s/loy5sgzin4go4ly/Supetor.zip
  13. Don't worry, I don't take it as being picked on. I'm very grateful for all the help you have given me, especially as long as this project has turned out to be. Do I need to download forge and put it in the mods folder or is that included with barebones somewhere else?
  14. I created a modpack here http://www.technicpack.net/api/modpack/supetor I really thought it would work this time but when I ran it I still got the download failed, retries remaining. Then it attempted to launch before returning to the technic launcher. I went through this entire thread and re-read all of the fixes you gave me but I'm pretty sure everything is correct according to those. It's probably something super simple that I missed. lol
  15. I restarted with a new pack that has a few less mods to simplify. I put it in the 1.7.10 barebones pack and ran it, then put it in a new folder which I added to the technic website. When I run it, it immediately says download failed, retries remaining. Here is the link to the new pack. http://www.technicpack.net/api/modpack/supetor-11
  16. I didn't use the coremods folder. It was already included when barebones downloaded so I just ignored it. should I delete it as well? I put the core mods like mantle and codechickencore into the regular mods folder, is that where they go, or do I not need core mods at all with technic? I thought I had the right versions of the mods and fore but I will go back and double check. Also I haven't been updating the modpack I originally created and linked to at the beginning of this thread so if that is where you are seeing that I have mishmashed mods that's why. I have still just been using barebones but haven't copied them into another pack because they haven't worked yet.
  17. I attempted to use NEI a minute ago but forgot to include CodeChickenCore with it so i downloaded that and put it in the mods folder. At first it said the same download failed retries remaining, but a minute later a window opened that said something like Preparing your minecraft environment. I thought this meant it would work but then the window closed and the technic launcher opened again. I'm not sure if this is significant but I looked in the mods folder and there was a new folder titled 1.7.10 with a file inside called CodeChickenLib-1.7.10-1.1.1.93-universal Also there was a codechickencore and Tconpreloader file inside config.
  18. Last night before you responded that there was a 1.7.10 version of computercraft I loaded the 1.6.4 barebones with computercraft. It ran well enough, except there wasn't any sound. This morning I read your comment and deleted barebones and then redownloaded it to the launcher. From there I added the 1.7.10 version of computercraft and ran barebones. It showed a message in the gray loading box saying Download failed, retries remaining. I thought this might just be because computercraft is in beta so I used some other 1.7.10 mods after I removed computercraft from the mods folder. They all came back with the same problem.
  19. I didnt understand about choosing a version to use. In the launcher it says builds (which I couldnt figure out) but I put it on one that started with 1.7.10..... (with more stuff after it) instead of leaving it on recommended and it downloaded stuff for a while, then closed the launcher as if it were about to launch a game, then it brought the launcher back. I think this might be how it is supposed to be since its not an actual modpack but a tool for formatting them but I'm not sure. As to your earlier comment about forge, I googled forge mod and came up with this website http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and did ctrl+f to find where it said 1147 (the second one) However now my problem is I don't know which of the links to click on. The links listed are: (Changelog) (Installer) * (Installer-Win) * (Javadoc) * (Src) * (Universal) * (Userdev) * I have no idea which one to click on. When I did this before I chose installer but I wanted to check this time to see if it is right. You also mentioned that I had some of the wrong versions of mods and they should all be 1.7.10 but on the ComputerCraft website it says the latest one is for 1.6.4. So if I am understanding this all correctly, I now need to use the 1.6.4 versions of all the mods or not include computercraft. From there I need to start adding the mods one by one into the mods folder in barebones to make sure they all work. When / if they work I can copy everything into another folder, zip it up, add it to the Technic site, and then add and play it through the technic launcher. If I use the 1.6.4 versions of the mods instead of 1.7.10 will I need to download the 1.6.4 barebones?
  20. I added BareBonesPack and ran it and got this error report. Stack Trace: Exception: NullPointerException Message: null Trace: net.technicpack.launchercore.install.ModpackInstaller.installOldForgeLibs(ModpackInstaller.java:97) net.technicpack.launchercore.install.ModpackInstaller.installPack(ModpackInstaller.java:62) org.spoutcraft.launcher.InstallThread.run(InstallThread.java:61)
  21. Ok I think I understand everything you said there except about config files. What are config files and where do I get them? As I mentioned in another thread most of my mods are from hermitcraft.com/modsauce but there weren't any config files that I noticed that came with them, or maybe (probably) I'm just a newb and didn't realize I was supposed to download them also.
  22. I used this tutorial to make a modpack with a few of my favorite mods but I am having trouble making it work. There are really only two problems. The first is that there is no sound in the game and it is completely vanilla, none of the mods are running. Here is the url for my modpack. http://www.technicpack.net/api/modpack/supetor-1. Let me know what you think and if there is a way to fix this. Possibly I don't have the right coremods, or they are in the wrong location. Another possibility is that I am using mods from different minecraft versions, but I think they are all 1.7.2
  23. I got Mantle and Tinker's through Hermitcraft.com/modsauce. Before I tried to use tekkit lite I attempted to make my own modpack but when it ran there was no sound and it was vanilla, none of my mods were functioning. If anybody knows how to fix this, this is the way I would prefer to play.
  24. I want to add the mod "Tinkers' Construct" to the tekkit lite modpack. I've tried to just add the mod directly to the mods folder in the tekkit lite modpacks folder but when I do that I get an error message saying that mantle could not be found. When I remove it again tekkit lite loads up just fine. If anybody knows how to add mods to tekkit lite please let me know. I would also be interested to know if I can remove some of the mods I don't want without crashing it.
