  1. Okay, after a lot of trial and error, I was able to get the server to run, but it seems none of the mods are loading. (I had to move Tekkit.jar, config folder, and mods folder into a new folder called "jar" in my server's main directory.) No matter what I try to do, I can not spawn anything beyond the vanilla blocks and items. Every time I try, I get this error: There's no item called ### *Replace ### with some ID number. Also related is the fact that no volcanoes are generated, so thus seeds I've used before that I know locations of volcanoes on, now those areas are devoid of any volcanoes. And as such, no basalt. I'm giving up in frustration. Either no one uses Tekkit 3.x.x with Multicraft or people have gotten it work (after some work?) but didn't deem it important enough to post up a "How to" guide for the rest of us. Searching these forums have been of zero help. Any topic that's even related has replies giving conflicting answers and none of which work for me. All I want is a working Tekkit 3.0.3/3.0.4 server. *pulls out hair*
  2. Anyone know what files are supposed to go into the server jar directory?
  3. Can anyone walk me through the exact files placement for Tekkit 3.0.4 on a Multicraft server? I've been searching the net and every thread I find on these forums gives me a different answer. The one that has somewhat worked is to place my Tekkit.jar, mods folder, and mod_EE.props file into a folder named "jar". However, once I'm in the server, volcanoes do not spawn (all the basalt blocks are missing), I can't spawn any IC2, RP2, or Buildcraft items (they all say blah blah ID not found). I'm so frustrated and mad right now. I would have thought someone would have written up a tutorial on how to set it all up.
  4. Doh! I thought the clouds would have moved to a height of 256 as well. Apparently, that's not the case. Any way to move the clouds up? Or is is something Mojang plans to do later?
  5. I'm running the latest 3.0.4 but any newly generated worlds are only 128. Where's the 256?
  6. Nope. And now I find out his connection to the internet is crapping out in general. He can't even connect to my server anymore and the only game in his collection he can apparently play is Killing Floor (and only to certain servers). When I do a tracert to his IP, I get lots of bad hops along the way (somewhere between halfway point and his location). I've had him try and talk to his ISP (AT&T), but it seems they are no help. Either that or they are getting a runaround from (useless) level 1 techs. I'm wondering if JAVA will spit out these errors if a player loses connection because of a problem on the client's end?
  7. We're actually in survival mode. We had to use creative a few times to get out of some rather nasty drops (like falling 60 blocks into a gigantic pool of lava). I'm tempted to post up the seed the world is based on. The number of giganto interconnected caves and massive ravines is mind boggling. No, I haven't tested that out. I thought the solar array problem was with Buildcraft arrays? The only solar panels I spawned in were the Redpower ones. What stumps me is why do I only get those [sEVERE] errors after my friend drops out? Why doesn't it happen before?
  8. Here's the pastebin for the log: http://pastebin.com/ZfujNKkX I've copy-pasted the log for the last few days, so you'll have to scroll towards the bottom to see the [sEVERE] errors.
  9. Hmm. In that case, does anyone know what is causing this error?
  10. So I assume then that Tekkit does not include LWC?
  11. Mod Version: Tekkit 2.1.1 Java 7 Installed? Yes, JRE. Operating System: Windows 7 Professional (64-bit) Internet Connection: 20 mbps (down) / 4 mbps (up) Let me pre-pend, by asking if the current Tekkit 2.1.1 includes the Bukkit plugin LWC? If so... I keep getting errors such as this one: [sEVERE] at java.net.SocketOutputStream.socketWrite(Unknown Source) whenever a friend connects to my home server. I've searched around the net and done some troubleshooting on home. 1. My PC is more than capable of handling Tekkit 2.1.1. --- Specs ---- Core 2 Quad @ 3.6 Ghz 8 GB of RAM 1.5 TB HDD (the hard drive Tekkit resides on) ---------------- 2. My network is fine. Router doesn't seem to be the cause of the issue. No hiccups from my rather new modem either. Line tests come up clean, ping tests over time are very stable (3-9 ms to a local Chicago server), and no errant hops after doing multiple traceroutes (from PC to a server and back). 3. Am reading a few threads where people have complained that LWC seems to be causing this error and thus causing the server to kick people out constantly. Removing the plugin seems to immediately solve the problem. (Refer to: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/lwc/ > Comments below) So how do I go about removing LWC? I don't see it in /plugins/ nor do I see it in /mods/. I assume it's integrated into Tekkit.jar? If so, which files do I need to remove?
  12. Okay, redownloaded server files, updated Java, and reinstalled the client. Did some more testing and I think it's a bug in the RP2 pr4d-b1-1r3 version in 2.1.1 (sorry about the typo previously where I put down 2.2.1). I cannot cut blocks with the iron handsaw and only the iron handsaw. I can cut the blocks using the other handsaws. At least I can cut blocks now, but it seems the iron handsaw is basically useless.
  13. Have/Are you... 1. running the same version of Tekkit as the server? 2. have installed any additional mods the server might be running? 3. on the server's whitelist (if it uses one)?
  14. Launcher/pack Version: 2.2.1 (client & server) Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Version of Java: 1.7.0 Update 2 Description of Problem: I believe RP2 isn't fully working. I am hosting a private server for testing purposes and have a world I created in SSP copied over and running on the server. In both SSP and SMP, I am unable to cut any block with a handsaw (iron, gem, or diamond). Server log says all of RP2 loaded just fine. Looking through the server files, I can't locate RP2's files (not in mods folder), so I assume it's been unpacked to the tekkit.jar file? Am I missing something?
