I´m not a complete noob, but there are some things I don´t know, so can you please explain that bit more?

Re-installing the Java didn´t help. Any other ideas?

Can you please write where is the default directory? Because i´m not sure.

The problem is, there is no .jar file nor the folder (I know where it should be, in %appdata% folder). Installing the .NET framework again changed something, but now it says this message: "Unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application." Please help.

Launcher/pack Version: Tekkit 2.1.1 Operating System: Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3 Version of Java: Version 7 Update 4 Description of Problem: I can´t open up even the Technic Launcher the first time, right when I download it. I try to open it, then a menu pops out with an error. Antivirus program: Microsoft Security Essentials Error Messages: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application."
