Alucard Elric

I'm having the same problem, It does it with anything that isn't the recommended version. I gave the launcher 4 gigs of ram just to be sure and it still just minimizes the launcher for a second then pops back up. When starting hexxit up normally it closes the launcher, opens the hexxit window along with the FML is setting up your minecraft stuff. This doesn't even try it's a close and reopen type of thing. Nothing other then the launcher ever opens after hitting play. I've been with hexxit for a long time and I recently learned about all the new updates and work being put into it again and I'm dying to try it out but this bug isn't allowing me to do that. Please fix this as fast as you can guys. (if need be I can record a video to show you what's happening.)
