I had the same problem, I fixed it by installing graphics card drivers. Try installing the drivers/ updating them.

I have made a modpack and everything works fine until I place any of Project:Red's microblocks, then the game closes, and opens the launcher. The logs are here. Some thing about an illegal block (microblock).
