    when I try to download a mod pack (and this is every mod pack) it downloads and it stops when it gets to assets and says "please consult mod pack author" I've been trying to figure it out for ages with no luck some one please help me.

    that is exactly what it said for me I've spent hours try in to figure it out and it seems to be a problem with assets.

    it said the same thing for me even with vanilla it keeps saying it for every mod pack what should I do.
