I tried looking into a few mods, but can't seem to find one that works. Is this something anyone else experiences by default?

Hi! I run a Tekkit Legends server, and we're having some issues with the amount of monsters spawned. We can literally head outside of a house only to be surrounded by six monsters. For every one we kill, another two seems to pop up. I read somewhere that you can edit the spawnrate in bukkit.yml, but we don't seem to have such a file to begin with. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? The server is on ApexMinecraftHosting at the moment. Cheers!
