Yes, I even deleted the download and re-downloaded it

When the launcher first starts up and it asks for you to login in with your Minecraft account I enter my details and it displays an error message that says i have "invalid credentials. Incorrect username or password" but I have changed my password 3 times now and used both my Minecraft username and email address to login and it still does not let me login. I feel like there is probably a very easy solution to this problems but I am obviously not seeing it, any help would be greatly appreciated.
