I was looking into it, then I realised about java, I found out I needed oracle, you can download it here, http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jre8-downloads-2133155.html - After you download it and restart it should install right, if there are any problems with reinstalling it this way please tell me.

Yes, I have the same problem, I even completely removed the .technic from my system, redownloaded it (AND JAVA) and it didn't even recreate the .technic file, Im am not the biggest computer wiz (Not my fault) and I'm still looking into it.
