  1. Nope, I'm sure there's nothing java-related running in the background. And as for allocation, I usually go 1GB, I just tested the two other settings to see if they may work once or twice.
  2. MY system has 4 GB of RAM, around 2,5 gigs are free while MC is not running and I am trying to allocate anything from 512 MB to 1,5 GB with no luck
  3. Launcher Version: 1.0.1.3 Operating System: Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit Java Version: Java 7 version 6 64bit (quintuple-freaking-checked, surely no other version even present on my hard drive) Antivirus Program: AVG anti-virus Description of Problem: The launcher does not allocate any memory into Minecraft, it's always at 256. That causes some serious lagspikes in Technic / Tekkit every 1-3 seconds when no mod blocks/items are even around. I've searches around this and other forums for a year now and posted some bug reports with no luck whatsoever. The launcher, as well as every single direct component needed for Technic Launcher and TechnicSSP / Tekkit has been reinstalled at least twice during the year. Error Messages: None, Minecraft just disappears without giving any message Error Log: [23:24:40] [sEVERE] IDResolver - Long name of requested item is ItemID.5767|mod_ThermalExpansionCore [23:24:40] [sEVERE] IDResolver - Loading saved ID 5767 for Item ItemID.5767|mod_ThermalExpansionCore. 4. Anything? I am getting quite annoyed by the lack of help on the forums.
  5. I'm not feeling like making a new thread since this one is already here. Guys, Help? I reinstalled everything that could have anything to do with Technic I have only one version of java, and it's Java 7 update 4 64-bit. I have 4 GB of ram and I am trying to even allocate 512 MB, does not work at all Help?
  6. Okay, thanks. Putting the batch file in that folder made it launch the launcher, but it still didn't allocate the memory.
  7. Sorry for the delay, I was offline for a few days. I run Tekkit through the Technic Launcher on the default options.
  8. It's a desktop PC Processor : Pentium dual core E6800 3.33 GHz Graphics card : GeForce GT 240 I'm running on fast, normal view distance, minimal particles, fog and clouds turned off. Possible, but while my friend gets this (Used memory 218MB of 910MB and allocated at 420MB) I get this (Used 238MB of 247MB and allocated also 247MB)
  9. Tried, doesn't work. What you suggested enforces the value in the launcher. I said that the RAM I set in the launcher stays there, but Minecraft itself does not get that allocation. It says the max is 247 MB.
  10. Hi all, I'm having a problem on my PC when running Tekkit SMP client from the launcher. The problem is that no matter what the Memory allocation is set in the options of the launcher, Minecraft only seems to be allocated 247MB of memory and that makes it lag enough to make the game unplayable. The amount shown in the launcher does change but in game does not. System Info: Win 7 Ultimate 64bit 4GB RAM Java 7 64bit (updated today) Any tips on where I could look/what I should change would much appreciated. I have searched the forums for 5 days and could not find the same kind of a problem fixed.
