Had this problem too. I also tried enabling flight. I ended up using a plugin named "NoSpeedKick" I still have it running on our server. However I couldn't find it on the bukkit forum. Just curious, now that so much work has been put into the ease of updating the glorious pack via the launcher, if any future plans are in store for Tekkit server update automation? Perhaps a plugin that simplifies server updates to coincide with client side updates? I know you guys are busy as all hell. Just wondered. It's late here, forgive me if I worded this like a moron. EDIT: I honestly have been searching the forum for similar questions, and threads...i apologize if this was covered elsewhere.

On my server, we opted for the plugin "Regios" for area protection, as my admins and I have been using worldguard for a year or so now on our other servers and were kinda wanting to try something new. As far as we've noticed it has done it's job, it protects block placement and destruction, also seems to have easier control as far as flags go, and exceptions. If you haven't figured our your issue yet, i'd give it a try. We haven't had any problems with it at all.

Hey Cheapshot, i'm curious now actually. I have permissions setup, of course. None of the vanilla commands, or essentials commands for changing weather and time are given as nodes to my default groups. Yet they can still do this. Is NEI using a seperate command? I guess I could check console and test it. It's not a big deal, just wondering now.

Hey Matt, on my server we've noticed non-op users can use NEI's built in cheat system to control weather and time. Doesn't really impact the game to much, and since we are a private community our users tend to not care or use it to much. I guess it could be used for constant EU from solar arrays, but meh.
