um my dad built my computer Idk about ram and such so sry also set gb of ram to 8 didn't work

HI guys I can't laucnh or load any modpacks. I click play and the bar fills then the launcher cloes and re opens. Minecraft doesn't start. and I don't have a crash report error or something or like alog please help.
