Greetings.
I have set up a Tekkit server on a spare server for friends to play on. It is running on a spare rackmount server. Core 17, 24Gb memory, and 512 GB ssd. Specs should be good enough to run without problems.
Running windows 7 with the latest java 64 bit version.
When the server is working, it works good with a few people on it. However I am running into an issue that has been causing the server to crash, to the point others can not login.
This crash occurs both when people are online, as well as when the server is idle with no one on.
A point is reached where all clients get booted, and i get end of stream errors on the console. Once this point is reached, the server console no longer responds to console commands, and is locked up. It must be forced closed.
Once in this state clients can not reconnect until the server is force closed and restated. This has been a big problem, because if i am away, it may be hours before i can restart it, and it is happening quite frequently.
I have attached a couple log files, hopefully someone here can point me in the right direction to get this resolved. I have not tampered with configs or mods at all, its just a stock tekkit launcher downloaded and run from the Technic page.
I like this particular set of mods, and we have quite a bit of stuff built on the server already. I want to try to get it fixed so it can be run more reliably for other players using the server. Open to suggestions or troubleshooting recommendations.
