  1. well i still cant allocate any more than 512mb , both the 1gig and 1.5 gig settings result in 247 mb, 512 is just about playable , but ive bought a new laptop which arrives in under a week, it is 64 bit so i'll find out if it is the java version or not.
  2. fixed it, i was running a 1.2.5 minecraft map in 1.2.3, so started a new map and im always above 40fps !
  3. i tried changing the xms settings on java but that didn't seem to do anything , is my system preventing me from allocating more than 1Gig to the launcher ??
  4. intel core 2 duo E8200 @ 2.66GHZ 4GB ram and 32 bit op ( i know i don't get the full 4 ) HD 6870 1GB GDDR5 Graphics Card launcher 1.0.1.3 using recommended yogbox builds. launcher log http://pastebin.com/ePU7L6eH seems to have quite a lot in it, the time to look from is 21:44:24 , line number 974 says allocated ram 247.5MB using the options on the launcher i have tried to increase the memory used from 1Gb to 1.5Gb due to the game having lag spikes. and when i launch it pressing F3 tells me i only have 247mb allocated which then gives the out of memory error. on the 1Gb setting i get just under a Gig of memory allocated, so how can i give the launcher the more ram to play with ? i have seen in a few other threads people saying it was solved on the old forum but since the move i havnt been able to access any of the old threads. thanks!
  5. http://pastebin.com/ePU7L6eH here is my launcher log, it seems to have quite a lot in it, the time to look from is 21:44:24 , line number 974 says allocated ram 247.5MB .
  6. sorry, it says the 'allocated' ram is 247 mb ,so using the 1 gb setting gives me 1gb allocated, using the 1.5gb gives 247mb allocated and using the 512 mb gives me 512 allocated. with all three i eventually end up getting the not enough memory screen but the 1 gb works fine if i don't explore like a maniac, will a launcher log really help ? a few weeks back i did edit the amount of ram java could use and i gave it a higher priority as suggested in some youtube videos. thanks
  7. yogbox was running glitchy at 1gb through the options menu in the launcher so i switch it up to the max 1536MB and start playing, just get enough time to press F3 to see the fps and i see the top right corner saying only 258 MB , it then crashed on me. :L so how can i increase the amount of memory it uses ?? is it a problem with the launcher ? please help ! if this is in the wrong place to post then shout at me where to go intel core 2 due E8200 @ 2.66GHZ 4GB ram and 32 bit op ( i know i don't get the full 4 ) launcher 1.0.1.3 using recommended yogbox builds.
