Don't know about sign placement, but have you tried LWC for protection purposes? That is probably the most recognised personal block security plugin around. Doors, Chests etc. are automatically logged as protectable but you will have to alter the config for brewing stands (very straight forward).

Are you using Essentials or world guard? You can disable creepers from them. Second questions: Use a superperms plugin, I use PEX, but there are plenty of others such as Essentials inbuilt GroupManager. Good luck!

I've tried everything but block breakers don't seem to be interested in my efforts. I can't get them to break blocks! Any suggestions, also, my connections are fine. EDIT: Wow... finally found another thread... added Redpower to op and it worked. Sorry for wasting your time guys.
