im trying to connect through the same external IP or vpn whatever it is .. if i change the port would that change specifically?

Ok so i set my server up not too long ago and everything was working fine, for the past few days there have been rolling blackout due to storms in my area so i shut down the server now that their is some good weather i attempted to start it up but it was giving me a port error .. nothing major so i changed the port id in the server properties and made the adjustments to my router. i start up the server and it says its running no errors at all but nobody including myself is able to reach the server, any idea whats going on here or how to fix it?

again nvm i found a permission yml to sort of coppy and set my defaults ...

i realized it after i posted and it finally works ... this is my first time im running a server and so .. i have a bunch of questions.. like my next thing is how to set OP's and allow server wide building permissions.. thanks again for the help

So i started up a server with tekkit im hosting from my main desktop the server is up and recognizable from the technic launcher my only problem is im not able to connect to the server itself, the server log shows that someone was trying to connect but was given the error "outdated client" and the error screen displays the End of Stream message anyone out there have a solution for this? Ps. yes i am using the latest versions of tekkit and the launcher, everything updated before login.
