Another shameless me too. Anyone have a fix for this? It would be a massive bummer for a player on my/others server' to go through all the effort to make Red/Dark matter armour, and they do nothing. I can also confirm that the Gem armours don't work, such as the Hurricane boots providing no eternal sprinting or ascending.

This isn't a bug. This is the default behaviour for jetpacks in IndustrialCraft. Unless you wear advanced, or not so advanced, armo(u)r, you take fall damage, even if you fly up only a few blocks. Best thing to do is make some rubber boots. Look it up in the IC2 wiki or on NEI if you want to know the recipe. Other option, if you're at the end game level, is to make the Quantum boots. Again, look it up on the wiki or NEI if you want to know the recipe.

I'm trying to add a plugin for rollback and grief checking on my server. Sadly, due to the immense amount of events Tekkit adds to the server (Nukes, new chests, etc), no plugin will really do the job. I've tried 'HawkEye' but it won't log chests on the server for some reason. I'm going to try out 'BigBrother' later today, so I might reply with what happened there. So what plugin do you use/recommend for Tekkit? I'm at a loss here, I'd rather not have my server griefed by a bloody nuke :L

Cool thanks I'll check both of those out. They both seem like something that could happen to him. It won't kill me if I go near it? :L Just a note though, this has been happening for at least a few weeks so I'm not sure if the items spat out from a quarry would even last that long.

I had this problem on my brother's client. No matter what I did (remove .techniclauncher, deleted & redownload launcher) it would always crash upon connecting to my server, and only mine (I run the server). I decided to do a complete refresh of the server, and found out that the fault was not the client at all, but the world files. For some reason, my world files somehow conflicted with his client, but not mine. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? I really don't want to have to start a new world to let him play, but I really do want him to.

Launcher/pack Version: Latest version of Tekkit Operating System: Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) Version of Java: 1.6.0_29 Description of Problem: When connecting to a server that I run, I can log in and try to connect to server, but after the "Generating Terrain" and whatnot, the client crashes with a white screen. I did see a flash of an error message (blue on white screen) but I couln't read it. But I presume it's what was in the logs. I can't connect to the server every time I try to, making it impossible to play anymore. Note: Server is running linux, specifically Gentoo. For some reason RedPower microblocks (covers, slabs etc) will have bad lighting if they aren't in direct sunlight. Is this related to Tekkit or just RedPower in general (have yet to try it on a vanilla install of RedPower). Also, I do crank the brightness up to full when I play, but that shouldn't (in theory) be affecting it, since the room is lighted by glowstone regardless. Cool, thanks. Main reason I wanted to use creative is for flying, might have to grab myself Zombe's mod.

When I pick up an item from the quick-bar to put back into the infinite inventory, the client disconnects with the error.. "Internal Error" The server command line spits a useful error however: http://pastebin.com/ejgK5H78 I'm in Creative mode, in Tekkit 2.0. I've wiped the Client folder clean, and reinstalled. I have no problem with wiping the server clean as well if requested.

Re: Block id error when launching server in linux I got this too, both the IC2 error and Wireless Redstone error. My solution was to simply turn off The Enderchest in config/ModLoader.cfg It's not a good fix, nor one that should have to be use, but so far it worked.
