I fixed it! I don't know if this will help anyone else but since I had tried deleting the launcher several times without success I tried something else. I deleted the .techniclauncher folder, then ran the technic launcher and it downloads all the mods and stuff again. I opened it back up and everything works now. Granted you will lose any saves you have unless you move them out first and then put them back, but otherwise it seems to work. FYI the %appdata% search never works for me, I had to manually search for the folder, for me it's at c:\users\username\AppData\Roaming then it is the first folder listed. Hope this helps!

the java is up to date, I updated it before I downloaded the launcher last week, the "bagoshite antivirus" is not the issue, if it were the mods wouldn't have worked to start with. For what it's worth, I have the exact same problem. It doesn't seem to be isolated to a single mod pack, there are several different mods that don't load. I don't know which ones because I don't know which is which. Things like the recipe book, the different ores and types of stone, the bee hives, even the villages don't load correctly, the village is technically there but the buildings are gone, just torches floating in the air where the buildings should be. Some of the mods will load in yogbox, but not in technic. And if this sounds totally noob, well I am.
