I think it has something to do with Modloader, but when I try to join my server, it says I don't have any mods

Ever since I found all this, I have fell in love with it, I use Technic to satisfy all of my SP modding needs. But now, I want to share this with my friends. So, I downloaded the Tekkit server from the site and such, the version number would happen to be 3.0.4. The so called client I downloaded from the launcher is 3.0.3 The website said I didn't need to update it soooooo... I didn't. Now, I start the client, and for some reason, the mods don't show up regardless of whether or not the mods are actually in the mods folder. I apologize for my lengthy thread :)
