  1. it's an issue with how Minecraft calculates light. seems to be compounded by how tekkit uses the same resources for it's calculations. There is a potential fix that slows down the cycle rate of lighting calculations, but It doesn't currently work with Forge, and thus not with Tekkit.
  2. It's a known issue with Additional Pipes. were you, by chance, trying to open the GUI for a TP pipe before it happened? Solution usually fixes itself after a few hours, but can be resolved sooner with a server reboot. I recommend not using Additional Pipes at all as it is buggy.
  3. Title: FPS chunk lag Version: 3.0.3/3.0.4 OS: Windows Vista 64x Java Version: Java 7 (up to date) Description of Problem: Tekkit / Technic both have serious lag issues in certain chunks. It's client side as which chunks cause extreme lag shuffle every time I restart my client. Closing the client and reloading when in a lagging chunk usually causes it to not be a lagging chunk when relogging. It's not a computer performance issue or computer specific issue. A lot of people from different servers I play on have experienced the same problem. Information i've found points towards the way Minecraft calculates lighting. This may be the case here, I have no idea as the only Fix for that currently doesn't work with Minecraft forge. I haven't found any consolidated information on this topic anywhere in my search, so I post what I have found along with the problem here. Just wondering if Tekkit is going to incorporate some kind of fix for this issue or if they are even aware of it. Error Messages: Error Log:
