Found out how to work the mod selecter, now just waiting on the texutre pack info

Would it be worth simply installing Buildcraft, industrial craft and equivilant exchange through mcpatcher?

Hello, I spent many painful hours trying to fully install this and the texture pack used by yogscast (of which Is still not complete after merging two different downloads). My problem is, i dont really want mo creatures, or millenaire. Just the main build, technic equivilant sutff so, anyone know how to change that? ps or a link to a full texture pack? pps sorry if this is in a forum already, I did look first but failed to find anything.
