Hello, i have had a simular problem with this too, first make sure you have the output of the storage device connect to the cable that is connected to the energy link, Second make sure you have a wooden conductive pipe before connecting normal conductive transport pipe, third make sure the the buildcraft output has a job to do if not it wont draw energy and will apear not to work, if all else fails then i can't help you
